It is quite clear from the various calls we get that many people are watching the pennies.The domestic market is very price sensitive at present showing more and more people have limited disposable income.Commercial work on the other hand has actualy increased. we are seeing more and more warrant work available which involves gaining entry to properties for the gas or electricity companies.This is when people don't pay their bills and the meter gets changed to a card/prepayment meter so no further debt can be run up but they still have power.Is this a sign of things to come when people cannot pay their power bills ?

Our tip of the week is if your lock is sticking or playing up please do not spray WD40 into it.Although it may work in the short term, in the longterm it will mean problems will follow as it flushes out all he lubrication.It is far better if you use products like GT85 which contain ptfe (teflon) which leaves a nice slippery finish to parts its sprayed on.You can buy this in many places like bicycle shops for less than a fiver.

Some new products are hitting the locksmih market that provide excellent security,some of the euro cylinders avaialble are extremely good but do come at a price.The icl cylinder is still the best value product to hit the shelves that provides upgraded security for for very little extra.
