Attended a few burglaries again this week. Areas include battersea, forest hill and belverdere. The forest hill one involved gaining entry to a block of flats then kicking in a rear door to enter the property. Understandly residents in the building are concerned and many are beefing up their security as we speak.
Its actually fairly easy to secure flats as doors are normally the only way in if up a few floors. In this instance we are fitting steel sheets powder coated to match the existing door colour along with extra locks and some frame reinforcement.Steels sheets don't look as bad as they sound but provide excellent levels of security as well as providing a good visual detterent.
Battersea is an area we have visited many times after burglaries have been committed. It has some lovely properties but also seems to attract the scum bags that like breaking into others properties.
Driving around london is getting harder by the day, so many road" improvements" are designed to cause congestion it seems or maybe im just reading too much into it ?The wholesale price rise of metal is going to affect many trades i think, gates are going up in price in may, now is the time to get them and save money.
Locksmiths are going to be really earning their money in future with some the new high security locks coming onto the market.Keep and eye on the news section for more details of some extremely good products.Cylinder locks for upvc doors have really been under the spotlight with many high security locks coming onto the makret each month, the choice is widening. We really like the ICL cylinders and also the new cisa dimple key ranges which will make picking hard for those not in the know.
Im sure london locksmiths will be getting plenty of requests for these new products more than other parts of the country.it seems londoners are prepared to pay that bit more for decent security judging by the calls we get asking for specific products and brands.
What is happening with the weather ? Some days its cold and wet and other days its really hot, today was one of them.
