It seems london has gone retractable gate mad.
Retractable gates are in strong demand with many worried home owners contact us to fit them to their property.Even areas we traditionally have not fitted many in the past are now requesting we install these excellent products.Bromley,brockley,forest hill,dagenham,dulwich and even maidstone in kent have had retractable gates installed.

More calls this week from newly trained locksmiths looking for work.Sadly most calls revealed a serious lack of training with a few basic questions catching many out.Most are trained to drill locks to get them open and have no idea of the concept of picking locks without damaging the lock.

Come on guys do your courses but absorb all you can about the trade and learn from as many sources as you can,its a never ending trade to learn,two days training is not enough.My advice is join a main organisation like the institute of certified locksmiths and tap into the wealth of experience and knowledge passed amongest the members.
I think anyone who comes under the title of locksmith should be able to pick locks rather than drill holes in them, isn't that why the public call on the services of a locksmith ?

One of my colleagues recently visited an office block recently to fit some locks.It turns out the building had been flooded due to a leak after a plumber had done some work.The damage was up to at least £1,000,000 with all the computer equipment involved. The worst part is the plumber involved DOES NOT HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE. This guys is going to struggle to pay for this lot.With liability insurance quite cheap why oh why do tradesman not have it, absolutely crazy !!

Managed to get the garden at home almost finished, laid a pation,turfed and built a garden abour seat.Vety pleased with all the effort and really starting to understand how people get into gardening.Planted lots of planyts and its superb watching them grow and start to flower,very theraputic after a day driving around london, locksmithing.
