How strong are the collapsible gates ?

Very Strong, the collapsible gates strength comes from the thickness and design of the metal used.

Are the collapsible gates easy to slide back ?

Yes the collapsible gates are easy to slide back.The rollers they sit on allow them to glide back easily.On the bigger gates it may take a bit more effort by they still slide back easily considering the weight of the gates.

How do i maintain the collapsible gates ?

The collapsible gates require very little maintenance.We only you suggest you give them a polish with furniture polish every now and then.The silicone in the polish helps keep everything working smoothly prevent squeaks etc.

How much do the collapsible gates fold back ?

The gates fold back to 15% of the open size.If you have them opening both sides it is 15% of each side.

If i have a fold up track how does it stay up out of the way ?

The fold up tracks fold up and are secured by an additional arm on the collapsible gate which can then be padlocked (padlock provided) to prevent tampering of the gate.This make them ideal for shops and commercial properties where tampering is a possibilty.

Are the lift up tracks less secure than a fixed track ?

No.The lift up tracks are just as secure as the track locates into a small "shoe" on the other end of the gate.This shoe is attached to the floor providing the strength required.

Does the swivel action take much effort to fold the collapsible gate against the wall ?

No the collapsible gates weight is supported by the wall fixings and swivels easily to rest against the wall.The collapsible gates also have an adjustment at the bottom to make sure it clears the floor easily.

How Discreet are the collapsible gates, will they make my home look like a prison ?

Every person has their own opinion on how they look.The majority of our customers are very pleased after installation and many comment that they don't look as bad as they thought they would.In fact i would be as bold as to say they look really good on certain window types like upvc. as the finish is almost indentical

What colours can you finish the collapsible gates in ?

We are able to powdercoat the gates to virtually any BS or RAL colour. If you google "ral colour charts" you will find plenty of examples of what colours are available.
Sometimes a slight change of colour can make all the difference.Popular choices in the past have been magnolia collapsible gates as they can blend in very well with neutrally themed homes.
